چکیده

The problem of reactive power compensation in electric distribution networks is addressed this research paper from the point view combinatorial optimization using a new discrete-continuous version vortex search algorithm (DCVSA). To explore and exploit solution space, codification vector proposed, where discrete part determines nodes static compensator (D-STATCOM) will be installed, continuous optimal sizes D-STATCOMs. main advantage such that mixed-integer nonlinear programming model (MINLP) represents placement sizing D-STATCOMs only requires classical flow method to evaluate objective function, which implies it can implemented any language. function total costs grid losses annualized investment In addition, include impact daily load variations, active demand curves are included model. Numerical results two radial test feeders with 33 69 buses demonstrate proposed DCVSA solve MINLP best when compared solvers available GAMS software. All simulations MATLAB software its environment.

DISCRETE AND CONTINUOUS SIZING OPTIMIZATION OF LARGE-SCALE TRUSS STRUCTURES USING DE-MEDT ALGORITHM

Design optimization of structures with discrete and continuous search spaces is a complex optimization problem with lots of local optima. Metaheuristic optimization algorithms, due to not requiring gradient information of the objective function, are efficient tools for solving these problems at a reasonable computational time. In this paper, the Doppler Effect-Mean Euclidian Distance Threshold ...

Optimal Capacitor Placement and Sizing in a Radial Distribution System Using Clonal Selection Algorithm

This paper presents the Clonal selection algorithmic approach to minimize power loss and energy cost by optimal capacitor placement and sizing in Radial Distribution System (RDS). The clonal selection optimization for optimal capacitor allocation is considering the daily load curve, which is represented by a given number of load levels. As an important branch of the Artificial Immune Systems (A...
